Ceramics (ages 12 – 14)

Winter Studio Dates: January 14 - April 1, 2013

Students will learn basic ceramic skills and techniques, including throwing on the wheel, hand building and glazing of functional and sculptural pieces.

(No class Monday, January 21 & February 18)

Winter 2013 Studio registration begins Wednesday, November 28.

Classes for Middle School students are designed to provide in-depth experiences through sequential classes. Extended… Show more class time allows students and instructors to engage in more ambitious explorations of concepts, creative expression, historical and cultural context, connections, relations, applications and materials. Limited to twelve students, classes allow for more individualized instruction. All students must be 12 years old by the first day of class. ArtHigh classes are limited to one class per student per session.

Armory Art High classes are reduced tuition, and are underwritten, in part, by gifts from individual donors and grants and from the California Arts Council, City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division, the City of Pasadena Human Services Endowment Fund, The Eisner Foundation, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, The Rose Hills Foundation, The Rowe and Gayle Giesen Trust, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and the Surdna Foundation.

Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis, one class per student per session. There is a $40 registration fee per class. The registration fee is nonrefundable.
