Evolution through Transcription: Transcriptions and arrangements for Voice and Plucked Strings with Jarring Sounds
From five-voice madrigals to 20th century art songs, Jarring Sounds (Danielle Reutter-Harrah, mezzo-soprano and Adam Cockerham, guitar and lute) presents the evolution of music through transcriptions and intabulations for voice and plucked strings. The goal is for the duo to form a deeper connection with composers through co-creation, regardless of whether the composer was born in the 15th or 20th century. The program will include pieces by Respighi, Britten, Robert Dowland and more.
