Join docents Dave Kocsis and Mike Alexander to see how the motion of the San Andreas Fault has shaped the Santa Cruz Mountains while leaving some evidence behind and helping to create a variety of natural communities. On this 7-mile, moderately-pace hike you'll descend into Stevens Canyon, meander along Stevens Creek through mixed evergreen forests and riparian areas, and then ascend Black Mountain for a commanding view of the entire South Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
