Volti: The Not-the-Messiah December Choral Concert

With tongue only slightly in cheek (because it’s really hard to sing that way), Volti kicks off the December Choral Concert Marathon with alternative ways of celebrating the love and spirituality of the season. A premiere from Armando Bayolo anchors the program: "Cancionero Amoroso," a collection of five gorgeous love songs, each in a different language and style. Also: Stacy Garrop’s "Songs of Lowly Life," Shawn Crouch’s "The Garden of Paradise," plus works by David Shapiro and Charles Halka.
