Citrus Harvest Festival

The historical Gardens within the Park contain a citrus grove with several varieties of oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons and limes, providing the perfect environment for you to enhance your knowledge about citrus. Ruth Micieli, from Simple Gourmet Catering, will speak on growing and caring for citrus and there will be a cooking with citrus demonstration at 11am. Additionally, there will be a Park Ranger guided tour of the historic groves at 1pm! Home-made baked goods featuring citrus themed… Show more items, and hot and cold beverages will be on sale. And the popular Second Saturday Sweetheart Plant Sale will feature citrus plants for your patio/lanai. Flying Dragon Citrus Nursery of Jacksonville will be selling cold-hardy citrus trees in 3 and 5 gallon containers. All event proceeds benefit the Park for enhancement of current and new facilities.
