On November 15, 2014, Gentiva Hospice will hold an Interfaith Memorial for all patients who died between 2013 and the present. We warmly invite you to join us as we celebrate the Light and Life of your departed loved ones. All family, friends, caregivers and staff who knew or worked with your loved ones are welcome to attend. We also enthusiastically welcome any additional guests who accompany you.
We will gather at 2 PM at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church for a service designed to give all who come… Show more a container in which to safely feel and explore your grief. The service is interfaith, meaning it aspires to be open and comfortable to all people, regardless of your affiliation or lack of affiliation with a particular faith tradition. We will draw from the wisdom and practices of the various faith traditions practiced by our patients and families.
We will have a time for sharing, during which we welcome stories and reflections on your loved one's life. If you wish, please bring photos, letters, important belongings or anything that you would like to share that reflects or reminds you of your loved one. However, you are not obliged to share; We ask that you participate in whatever way feels most helpful to you. The service will be followed by a reception, at which you will have additional opportunities to share about your experience .
