My Dad is Baryshnikov

In order to gain a semblance of “mojo,” the gangly and untalented Boris Fishkin, a teen-age dance student at the prestigious Bolshoi Academy, tells his classmates that his runaway father is actually Mikhail Baryshnikov, one of the world’s foremost ballet stars. This fanciful twisting of the facts gains him not only self-confidence but clout in the school. Set in Moscow in 1986, this light comedy beautifully showcases the evolving political and cultural face of the USSR. In English and Russian.
