Besa, The Promise

We witness the heroic rescue of Jews in Nazi-occupied Albania through the prism of two men: Norman Gershman, an American Jewish photographer, and Rexhep Hoxha, a Muslim-Albanian whose father was one of the rescuers. Through their travels to Bulgaria and Israel, we discover a nation of everyday heroes and hear the gratitude felt by Jewish survivors for their Muslim rescuers.
