The Green Sparrow showcases his wide range of influences in a winning 10-track album that reminds us that Gordon is one of the most imaginative and mold-breaking artists in music today. Recorded at Mike's home studio in Vermont and mixed at The Barn, his former band's studio and art space, The Green Sparrow features special guests Chuck Leavell, Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell, Bill Kreutzmann, Ivan Neville and horn players from Antibalas.

For his touring band, Gordon auditioned a myriad of musicians over the past six months. The five-piece includes longtime collaborator Scott Murawski on guitar, Vermonters Craig Myers on percussion and Tom Cleary ..boards and Brooklyn drummer Todd Isler. This amazing combonation will be embarking on a 20-plus date tour which will include select festivals and will coincide with the release of his new album out August 5th on Rounder Records.

We couldn't be more excited that they will be making a stop in Omaha, NE to play the Slowdown on Aug. 31st! This will be a show not to miss and one truly to remember....
