Dorothy Macardle's classic novel adaptation about siblings who purchase a house in England that overlooks the Irish Sea with an unsavory reputation due to a murder that may have occurred by the gnarled tree near the house. What ensues is the stuff of classic ghost-story lore; blowing windows, unexplained cool drafts, dreadful apparitions & a séance builds to a truly terrifying climax.
