The Occidental Community Choir presents a Spring Concert “First and Last,” a beautiful program by members of the choir, telling tales of humor, inspiration, and surprise

Six performances only, the first three weekends in May in Occidental, Petaluma, Sebastopol, Cotati, and Santa Rosa.

Directed by the multi-talented Daniel Canosa, the program includes the heart-pulling Learning How to Love by Forestville’s own Robin Eschner and a choral debut of Marcy Telles’ haunting Within Us All, also arranged by Eschner. Occidental’s Gerry Schultz and Alexis Garcia (the latter a student at Analy High School) offer a feisty rendition of a surprising (and familiar) tune. Nasce la Gioia Mia is a delicate Italian poem set as a madrigal for double choir by director Daniel Canosa.
