The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House features an 8,000 square foot glass conservatory where visitors mingle with more than 60 species of the world’s most beautiful butterflies in free flight. An additional 8,000 square feet of interior space is devoted to living exhibits, classrooms, and visitor amenities.
The Butterfly House was the first in the world to be granted accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is a division of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
The Butterfly House’s mission is to foster a better understanding and increased awareness critical plant and animal relationships in order to promote the conservation and restoration of natural habitats.
Admission: $6 adults, $4.50 seniors (65+), $4 children age 3 to 12. Children age 2 and under are admitted free.
