Forming an LLC is a simple process that can open the door to new business opportunities, give you confidence in where your business is headed, and protect you, your business, and your loved ones.
But I know that for many creative businesses, the filing fees and franchise taxes will eat up their available cash flow so they turn to one-size-fits-all form services like LegalZoom to set up their LLC.
Don’t get me wrong, I think these companies serve a valuable purpose, but their approach is the same… Show more if you are a brick and mortar retailer, a property management company, or a creative business. They also don’t explain to you what the documents mean or how to run your LLC once you get it.
To combat all of these failures, I’ve designed this workshop specifically for creative businesses – to give you the knowledge about how to set your LLC up properly (and how to keep it that way) and the confidence that you did it right.
I know that you’d rather spend your time creating, not trying to learn or interpret a complex legal process. So in this workshop, we'll work through the steps together. I'll guide you to where you need to dot the i’s and cross the t’s so that you confidently set up and maintain your LLC.
In the workshop we’ll cover:
LLC Benefits. The benefits an LLC give your business and how these benefits protect you, your business, and your loved ones.
LLC Process. We'll walk through the step-by-step process that you’ll need to go through to properly set up your LLC, so you have the confidence that you are filling out the right forms, in the right way. We'll fill out the forms in the workshop and to make sure you don’t skip any steps, when you get home I’ll give you a step-by-step checklist of what needs to be mailed where (and when).
Operating Agreement. Why you need to have an operating agreement and what should be included in one so that your business can be protected if anything happens. We'll spend a good chunk of our time together customizing my template Operating Agreement, so that it fits your needs.
Staying on the Up and Up. What records you need to keep and what hoops you’ll have to jump through to keep your LLC legit.
This workshop is hands-on, not me lecturing for hours on end.
The goal is that by the time you leave, you'll not only have completed the paperwork you need to form your LLC, but have a customized operating agreement and a step-by-step checklists of what actions you'll need to take to form your LLC and maintain it properly.
So be ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work!
Join us if you are ready to open the door to new business opportunities, protect you, your business, and your loved ones, and give you confidence in where your business is headed.
