Join Slow Food East Bay for an afternoon of preserving. Meet Sunday, June 16 from 2:30-5:30pm at Kitchener Oakland in Oakland's uptown neighborhood. Walk through the steps of making jams & preserves, discuss pectin, sugar options & recipe variations, using new season apricots. Cost is $45, covering expenses & a small donation to Slow Food East Bay. End up with great hands-on skills & go home with a few jars to enjoy on your morning toast (or as part of next winter's cheese course!).
