Leo Nocentelli
Leo Nocentelli was one of the original members of the Meters, a groundbreaking funk group based in New Orleans from the mid-'60s to the mid-'70s. The band, playing mostly instrumentals, stayed at the forefront of the music scene in the Big Easy and achieved a good measure of national attention with Nocentelli penning songs and contributing guitar work....

A formidable boogie and blues pianist with a lovable growl of a voice, his most enduring achievements have fused New Orleans R&B, rock, and Mardi Gras craziness to come up with his own brand of "voodoo" music....

You have to respect that in this day and age. Especially when they put Dr. in their name. Event his background makes his sound awesome. He apparently lost his ring finger on his left hand from a gunshot wound. Thats pretty hard core if ask me. I would see him if only because he sounds like he's got great stories, that I hope he tells in between songs.
