This class will focus on methods of identifying woody plants in the winter by their twigs. Start in the classroom with color images, guided keying of specimens, and a field walk to round out the day. Bring a lunch and clothes appropriate for being outside in winter weather (snowshoes will not be necessary). Instructor: Brett Engstrom, botanist.
