Wednesday, Feb 20, 2013 6:30p
North Kingstown Free Library North Kingstown, RI

The University of Rhode Island’s W. Alton Jones Campus in West Greenwich is a beautiful 2,309 acre property including forest, farm and lake habitats. It is used as a classroom, laboratory, retreat and wedding venue. Environmental writer Todd McLeish has written a book about the campus in celebration of its 50th anniversary. Join him to learn about the history of the site and about oil executive W. Alton Jones who bought the site as a hunting and fishing lodge in 1954.
