About Poppy Champlin:
There’s just something about Poppy. She is a veteran comic whose sharp wit and intuitive jokes can penetrate the heart of any discerning audiences funny bone. Looking urban cool she erupts onto the stage, with a hip, fearless and in your face style of comedy. Spitting out jokes, quips, songs, impressions, interactions, bird calls and with deep resources to draw from, all of Poppy’s’ shows can be described as spin art – “No two alike.â€*  Poppy is crackerjack at the craft of Improv. Throw anything at her and watch as she magically turns it into comedic fodder.  Having graduated from the University of Ri with a degree in Theatre she then went on to the Famed Chicago Second City Improv School. Champlin is one of the quickest witted comedians working either coast today.  She has a wild and roaming spontaneity, which makes each show actually feel like one of a kind. She is a powerful performer who can glide between practiced patter and off the cuff insightful improvisation. Poppy’s experience with classic standup and Improv, gives her a double-barreled flexibility that works particularly well with her subjects of choice. Besides Poppy’s deep comedic chops, she actually has a seriously good voice that she puts to use during her performance making sure to end every show on a good note. Her stand-up pedigree is flawless; from her latest  Showtime Special: Pride, and Logo Special: One Night Stand-Up, to Oprah Winfrey, and a featured story on Entertainment Tonight, a winner on The Joan Rivers Show, and a panel guest on Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen. She is also a favorite on Atlantis and Olivia cruises. Poppy has opened for such comics as Ray Romano, Denis Leary, Bill Maher, Bill Hicks and Rosie O’Donnell.  Her club appearances are many. Poppy currently can be seen performing her comedy in New York at Gotham and the Comedy Cellar or on TV in the Hbo Documentary “ All Aboard Rosie’s Family Vacation â€* and traveling around the country producing her own shows called, Queer Queens of Qomedy, now in it's seventh year.
About Susan Souza:
Susan Souza is originally from Massachusetts, through the years, her musical vocation has taken many forms: as a solo artist, in acoustic duos, and as a lead singer of a band. After taking a long break from performing and recording in the late 90s and early 2000s to pursue a “ normalâ€* life, Susan realized that the inner peace that creating music offered was worth giving up the conventional securities she thought she wanted. Susan resumed her music career in 2005, deciding never to stop again. “Change must always be balanced with some degree of consistencyâ€* and Susan Souza has lived this. Her career has been off and on for many years due to life changing circumstances, but her stage presence, musicianship and writing ability has consistently improved. Susan embraces her eclectic musical taste and this comes through in her music, as many of the songs are unique. The finished product is a variety of genres that can be considered folk, rock, sometimes blues, or something else. The listener always seems to find a place within Souza's music where they feel comfortable, or emotionally uncomfortable, and effected by what she is expressing. Like any form of art the artists’ goal is to evoke an emotional response from the viewer or listener; and Susan does this seemingly effortlessly.
