Original songs and instrumentals inspired by the music and life of Johnny Cash
This extraordinary evening pairs the acclaimed classical/bluegrass violinist and composer Mark O'Connor with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Rosanne Cash in works inspired by the legendary Johnny Cash, including O'Connor's piano trio, "Poets and Prophets," and selections from Rosanne Cash's powerful, emotional album, Black Cadillac, written after her father's death. "Rare and memorable...Johnny would have approved"(The Washington Post).
* Joey "Arash" Amini (cello) and Melissa Marse (piano) will be performing on the piano trio "Poets and Prophets"
