24th Annual Rocky Mountain Sacred Harp convention
Sacred Harp is an early American a capella hymn singing tradition, also known as shapenote singing. Singers from across Colorado and surrounding states will be gathering in Niwot to sing from the 1991 edition of The Sacred Harp songbook. Friday evening will be a singing school from 7-9 pm for newcomers or anyone that wants to learn more about the tradition. Saturday and Sunday singing begins at 9:30 and continues until 3 pm on Saturday and 2:30 pm on Sunday. Free and open to the public.
