Southland Christian Church began in 1956 at a location on Hill’N’Dale Drive with 172 people attending the very first service. Five decades later, the church averages over 9,000 in attendance each weekend. In 1981, Southland Christian relocated to a 20-acre site in neighboring Jessamine County located on Harrodsburg Road, a short drive past Man O’War Boulevard. Since 1992 the church has made three additional purchases of property, for a total of 115 acres.
