Rutgers University Hosts African Literature Discussion February 10th

On Monday, February 10, 2014 Nana Ekua Brew-Hammond will read from her novel Powder Necklace (Washington Square Press) and discuss its themes of layered and diaspora identity. The event is scheduled to begin at 6pm in the Dana Room, which is located on the 4th floor of the John Cotton Dana Library, 185 University Avenue, Newark. In November 2013, Brew-Hammond spoke on this topic at the Brooklyn Public Library as part of Afridiaspora's AfriLit panel, which the New York Times previewed.
