Stars of the Pharaohs

Sunday, Mar 24, 2013 2:00p

The new planetarium show allows visitors to discover how ancient Egyptians studied the skies to tell time, create workable calendars and align gigantic monuments. Explore the connection they felt with the stars and other astronomical phenomena. "Stars of the Pharaohs" is narrated by actor John Rhys-Davies.

This program compliments the "African Cosmos" exhibition now on view at the Newark Museum.

Recommended for adults and children ages 9 and up. 40 minutes.
