We hope you will join us for the first Mentor Fair at Rutgers University!Â
The Mentor Fair is a chance for prospective mentors  to meet representatives  from various mentoring organizations in the Newark area.
You will have the opportunity to showcase your program,  recruit mentors, and have mentors begin the intake process.   The Mentor Fair provides a physical space… Show more for you to have students and staff at local universities, as well as other interested volunteers, get to know your organization. Â
Rutgers University, NJIT, and Essex County Community College are partners in the Recruitment Fair, and will be broadcasting this event to their students and faculty. Â
Recruitment Process
During the Fair, voluntteers  will have the opportunity to sign-up on site through the Newark Mentoring Movement portal.  Mentoring Programs will then interview the Prospective Mentors.  Once screened, the Newark Mentoring Movement will hold the Mentor Training 101, to prepare volunteers for the mentoring relationship. Â

3. Show up on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, between 11:00 am - 11:30 with Recruitment Materials and Program Information in hand, along with banners and other information to provide to the Prospective Mentors . Â (Lunch will be provided to mentoring program staff)Â
