Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar

Small but great ambience. Best wine bar I have been to in NYC.

Ayza has a great wine list and they're reasonably priced. Excellent wine. The food was good but the desserts from Jacques Torres was amazing.

We always try to get a different bottle of wine since there are so many to choose from, but i have to say you really can't go wrong with any that they have by the glass either (and I consider myself a bit of a connoissuer!) -- my favorites by the glass are the Lambrusco and the merlot, though my boyfriend loves the corvina and I have to say it's to die for as well. My one other piece of advice is always save room for dessert! Not only are those Jacques Torres truffles tres tres chic, but the desserts themselves are simply stunning as well.

We come for lunch a few times a week and I show no sign of getting sick of it. In fact I love it even more every time. I've made it through the whole pre fixe menu and love them all, though I've started getting the salads and love all of them too. Now that it's colder I'm loving the soups as well. Pretty much everything on the menu is great

ayza I had wonderful dining experience last week at ayza.I would recommend highly.

I know it shouldn’t surprise me since all wine bars in New York are small, but this place is smaller than I expected. Don’t matter though because it’s AWESOME. Really romantic atmosphere and great service. Our waitress made sure we got the best wine to go with our food, and knew a ton about the menu.
The cheeses are great and our waitress suggested some really good ones. And then of course we had five truffles--- Delishe!

I'm not really a fan. Bad ser vice for one. We ordered a few courses and from appetizers to entrees we had to wait forever. They had cleared one an it was literally 20 minutes before anything else came out. That normal? I know we're supposed to savor the wine but I wasn't e ven that into the wine. I don't know what our server was doing but she seemed more interested in talking to the other servers than in helping us. And they weren't e ven busy so it's completely inexcusable.

They have a chilled red wine that’s really, really nice. I’m not much of a white wine gal, but it’s nice to have something chilled in summer. This one’s a good compromise. A little bubble to it too, which I didn’t like at first but came to really love.

I discovered this place on my walk home from work the other day when I decided to take a different route. I’m so glad I did. The place is really cool. I took my gf there the next day and she was way into it. It’s really romantic, especially with the whole wine and chocolate theme. The only problem is that there’s only one bathroom. My gf ended up waiting forever

I cam here once and can’t stop thinking about it now. Really great food and great atmosphere too. It’s swanky without being stuffy and I like that. The staff is really friendly and I can’t get enough of the cheese plate. It comes with this really amazing bread that had cranberries in it
