Heather Alexander, Agent, Pippin Properties, came to Pippin after six years… Show more in editorial at Dial. One of her favorite projects has been the hilarious graphic chapter book, Mr. Pants, It's Go Time! by Scott McCormick and RH Lazzell. She loved working on the recent thriller,Nerve by Jeanne Ryan, and the Batchelder Medal Winner, My Family for the War by Anne C. Voorhoeve. Keep your eyes out for The Thing About Yetis by Vin Vogel, an author/illustrator discovered through SCBWI. Heather is always on the lookout for quirky, well-drawn characters, a cool hook, and a new angle. Her dream projects are about those moments that change a person forever, where the world will never be the same. She’s looking for books for all ages, picture books through young adult. Funny is a fast way to her heart, but beautiful writing will keep it, and she leans toward boy books with girl appeal.
Alexander Slater is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He joined Trident Media Group in 2010 and after two years as an assistant, he spent two years selling translation rights for the agency’s middle grade and Young Adult titles. As a Foreign Rights agent, he attended the annual books fairs in Bologna, London, and Frankfurt. Alex is now building his list domestically, while keeping his focus on children’s literature.
After teaching high school English for several years, Suzie Townsend started publishing at FinePrint Literary Management in January 2009 and worked her way up from intern to agent. Now an agent at New Leaf Literary & Media, she represents adult and children's fiction. She is actively looking to build her list. In adult, she's specifically looking for romance (historical and paranormal), and fantasy (urban fantasy, science fiction, steampunk, epic fantasy). In Childrens' she loves YA (all subgenres) and is dying to find great Middle Grade projects (especially something akin to the recent movie SUPER 8). She's an active member of AAR, RWA, and SCBWI. She drinks too much diet orange soda, has a Starbucks problem (those soy chai lattes are addictive), and lives in New York with two dogs who know that chewing on shoes is okay but chewing on books is not. More information on Suzie can be found on publisher’s marketplace ( http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/members/sztownsend81/ ). She also keeps a blog at http://confessionsofawanderingheart.blogspot.com and tweets @ sztownsend81 .
