A Rare Display of Trilobites to Go on View at the American Museum of Natural History

Wednesday, Jul 10, 2013 11:00a

The American Museum of Natural History will unveil a rare display of trilobites for public view on Thursday, June 13, in the Museum’s Grand Gallery. The temporary exhibition will include 15 fossils of various trilobite species from the Museum’s permanent collection, including specimens from New York, Morocco, and Russia. The fossils on display are hundreds of millions of years old—but they are so exquisitely preserved that the animals seem almost alive, crawling along the seafloor.
