Mark Peter Davis
Mark is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist. In addition to being a Venture Partner at High Peaks, Mark is the co-founder of a handful of companies. Prior to joining High Peaks, he was a venture capitalist at DFJ Gotham Ventures. He also advised Fortune 1000 companies and private equity firms on the attractiveness of acquisition targets while at both KPMG and Bain & Company earlier in his career.
Mark focuses his investing activities on internet technologies. Venture Advisor, Paladin Capital Group
William Reinisch is responsible for the investment activities in the New York office of Paladin Capital. He is also the CEO and Founder of Xiv River. He specializes in strategy and investments for the high tech industry. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology. John Ason have been an Angel Investor for the past 15 years and have enjoyed the excitement and fast-paced work of the industry. Prior to investing he worked for over 25 years at At&t, both doing engineering and international business. He made over 100 trips to the far east and was working on “bleeding edge” technology- something He found to be useful when he transitioned into Angel Investing. Judith A. Sheft is the associate vice president of technology development at New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she is responsible for managing the university’s Office of Technology Transfer and Development and develops programs and policies focusing on patent creation, intellectual property valuation, strategic use and protection of Ip assets. She is also involved with entrepreneurship and economic development in the Newark Innovation Zone, having responsibilities for management of the university’s high technology business accelerator/incubator, the Enterprise Development Center, and the Defense Technical Procurement Center. Previously, she had been a founding member of Licenz Group, an Ip consulting firm that focuses on assisting companies to maximize the value of their Ip portfolio. Prior to that she had worked as the intellectual property and compliance vice president for Agere Systems, the semiconductor subsidiary of Lucent Technologies. In that capacity she had profit and loss responsibility for Agere’s patent and technology licensing business. She was involved in the allocation of intellectual property assets during the At&t trivestiture and is experienced in assessing patent portfolios and has provided Ip guidance to many of the high technology M&A and divestiture activities at At&t and Lucent.
Sheft has extensive business development experience outside the U.S. She played a lead role in negotiating a long-term alliance between Lucent/Agere and Nec in the field of semiconductor manufacturing technology, an alliance that has lasted more a decade and is a prime example of collaboration between competitors. She also was involved with the planning and negotiating of manufacturing outsourcing relationships agreements involving technology transfer and cooperative development activities. She has negotiated product development and marketing agreements with companies based in Japan, PRC and Europe. She is a frequent speaker on the topic of intellectual property and strategic alliances and is an active member of the Licensing Executive’s Society.

Bruce H. Lipnick is Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asset Alliance Corporation (“Asset Alliance”). He is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Asset Alliance Advisors, Inc. He has an extensive background in alternative investments with over 38 years of experience in the investment management and financial services industries, and was a pioneer in utilizing various hedging techniques in portfolio management in the early 1970’s through the 1980’s.
