Rebuild the Ties That Brought You Together
“The workshop has worked wonders for us. We were at a breaking point, and now have hope for a future together”
The Loving at Your Best Plan in NYC offers an exciting option for couples who are either married or in a committed relationship seeking to improve their love connection.
The New York Times reported on the latest trends in marriage… Show more and couples counseling and therapy, highlighting the effectiveness of new therapeutic techniques that combine education and therapy:
“Couples are better off taking marriage [or relationship] education courses—practical workshops that teach couples how to get along and that do not ask them to bare their souls or air their problems to a third party.” [The New York Times, April 19, 2005]
The Loving at Your Best Marriage & Couples Workshop is a brief, intensive course that emphasizes how to manage and resolve even some of the most difficult relationship challenges.
The first half of the workshop will help you and your partner or spouse build and maintain connection, love, and respect in your relationship, and improve the quality of sex, romance, and passion.
The second half of the workshop will help you communicate and manage conflict more effectively and engage in constructive, rather than destructive, conflicts. The workshop, offered in Manhattan, employs many of the successful new techniques described in The New York Times article, helping you and your spouse/partner take the first crucial steps toward reinventing your relationship. Working with your spouse/partner, you will learn valuable insights into the factors that destroy relationships, and learn specific skills and techniques that will help you protect against separation or divorce.
What You Can Expect
Receive personalized instruction. Each workshop is limited to 6 couples, so you and your partner or spouse will receive targeted instruction to increase your level of connection and create a buffer against distress.
Learn new techniques. You and your partner/spouse will have a chance to practice new skills and techniques to help you:
Communicate and manage conflict more effectively
Build and maintain connection, love, and respect
Improve the quality of sex, romance, and passion
Engage in constructive, rather than destructive, conflicts
Identify what matters most to each other. Support each other’s hopes and aspirations and build a sense of purpose in each other’s lives together
Reduce the risk of relapsing into the same old patterns
Work Privately. You and your partner or spouse will work through exercises privately, with the guidance of a highly experienced therapist, to help each other manage stress in your relationship and learn how to effectively repair the damage of conflicts. The seminar is educational, not group therapy; no public disclosure is necessary.
Save Time and Money. The workshop takes couples through skills and techniques that would otherwise take numerous individual couples sessions to complete. The workshop is similar to attending six couples therapy sessions, saving you valuable time.
While “many therapists lack the skills to work with couples who are in serious trouble,” as The New York Times reports, you can be assured Travis uses the latest proven couples techniques and skills, has broad experience in your area of concern, and genuinely wants to help you improve your relationship.
Find a Solid Place to Start. Even couples in distress can make significant progress on their relationship by combining a workshop with couples therapy, and may require significantly fewer individual couples sessions after the workshop.

Learn how to care for and sustain the love in your relationship The Workshop Philosophy The Loving at Your Best Couples Workshop advocates that long-term love is not only possible but is your birthright, and you are better and stronger when you find a safe haven and secure base in your loved one’s arms. A loving relationship is the basis of a secure family, and highly correlated with your long-term happiness. You no longer have to accept that romantic love is a mystery, or an unattainable ideal. Science is now able to track key moments in your relationship that create joy or anguish. The Loving at Your Best Marriage & Couples Workshop derives specifically from empirically tested models of couple therapy showing excellent results with lasting effects. Research identifies precisely how change occurs in relationships. We have developed a systematic and powerfully effective approach to reducing relationship distress and helping couples create trust and intimacy. The ultimate goal is to help a couple create a secure and loving bond, in addition to reducing conflict and distance. If you and your partner/spouse are experiencing the loss of a secure emotional connection, a pattern of negative interactions may be perpetuating distress in your relationship. Compelling emotional signals meant to pull you and your partner/spouse closer, or to reduce conflict between you become distorted and loaded with criticism, anger, or apparent indifference. Negative spirals of interaction between you and your partner/spouse can erode trust and increase natural vulnerabilities and the sense of isolation between you.
The workshop can help you and your partner/spouse take control of these negative interactions and clarify your emotional signals about connection needs and fears, encouraging responses of love and compassion between you.
You and your partner/spouse can become Accessible, Responsive, and Engaged in your relationship. Key conversations clearly and positively answer your relationship question: “Are you there for me?” You and your partner/spouse can then openly reach for and connect with each other to create a secure connection, promoting growth and resilience in both of you.
