The Cathedral of ST. John the Divine Hosts 20th Annual Maundy Thursday Reading of Dante’S Inferno

Thursday, Mar 28, 2013 9:00p to 11:59p

Now in its 20th year, this cherished tradition has invited thousands of New Yorkers to descend into Dante Alighieri’s literary hellscape. This year, The Very Reverend Dr. James A. Kowalski, Dean of the Cathedral, along with Cathedral Poet in Residence Marilyn Nelson, Dante translators and other acclaimed poets, will read excerpts from Dante’s classic work during the Maundy Thursday vigil, the very hours Dante intended the events in the epic poem to take place.
