Senegalese Cooking Class with Nafissa Camara

Join us in our new kitchen space in Manhattan for an evening of cooking authentic Senegalese food! The cuisine from this small West African nation is a rich blend of fresh ingredients, flavorful herbs and spices, and influences from France, Portugal and the Middle East. Our chef instructor Nafissa Camara * will be teaching traditional Senegalese dishes including chicken yassa, fish fatayas, and more. In addition, this class is BYOB. If you would like to drink, we encourage you to bring beer or wine to enjoy while you cook and eat!
About our class structure
Our classes are fun and informative. Enjoy delicious food, enthusiastic conversation, and unique stories. Our chef instructors will not only teach you authentic recipes that have been handed down through the generations, but also share stories about their country’s cuisine, culture, and history. Most of our classes are done in a demo-style with an opportunity to get your hands dirty. At the end of each class the group gathers around the table to continue the conversation and enjoy an amazing meal.
