FREE CONCERT: Elinor Frey – The Voice of the Violoncello

Thursday, Apr 4, 2013 1:15p to 2:00p

Elinor Frey plays some of the most original and celebrated baroque works for the cello, by Italian composer-cellists in late-seventeenth century Modena (before Bach composed his famous Suites) – Vitali, Colombi, Galli and Gabrielli – and early-eighteenth century cellists Dall’Abaco, Supriano, and Ruvo.

Midtown Concerts offers the general public the chance to hear free, high-quality performances of Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque music in a convenient, comfortable, acoustically superb venue.
