Flaherty NYC Screening: Tudo é Brasil by Rogério Sganzerla.
The closing night of the Spring 2013 Flaherty NYC revolves around a gifted and inquisitive filmmaker who worked most of his life at the margins of the industry and other artistic movements– Brazilian director Rogério Sganzerla. Styled as a freeform visual essay, Tudo É Brasil (Everything Is Brazil) is a speculative, arabesque mosaic of the Orson Welles on his tumultuous visit through Brazil in 1942. The work doubles as a political meditation on the identity of South America’s largest country.
