Intrepid Museum Presents Free Tour Guide Talk “Sally Ride: Trailblazing Astronaut” In Recognition Of Women’s History Month

Saturday, Mar 9, 2013 12:00p to 12:15p

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Intrepid Museum introduces the free Tour Guide Talk “Sally Ride: Trailblazing Astronaut” that will run every Sat & Sun in March.

Dr. Sally Ride, who passed away on July 23, 2012, broke barriers by becoming America’s first woman to travel into space on the Space Shuttle Orbiter Challenger in 1983. The interactive talk will celebrate her career with NASA and the legacy she left for young people in the fields of science and technology.
