Family Program – “Historic Harris Hayride”
Seven families called Harris Lake “home” from the 1880s to the 1970s before the property became a public park. Remnants of their lives still survive today. We’ll take a hayride tour of the old home sites and fields left by these farmers, listen to personal stories from those that lived here and search for a part of Wake County’s past. Hot chocolate will be served during the tour. Make sure to bundle up for this brisk winter adventure through our local history!
