Olde School Saloon and Bistro

Olde School Saloon and Bistro is a neighborhood full service restaurant and bar on the corner of State and Court streets in Downtown New Haven between Channel 8 WTNH and the 360 State Tower.

The Saloon and Bistro are separate and unique of each other. The Saloon features vintage New Haven memorabilia, a copper-top bar and a 1946 wooden beer cooler. Signature cocktails include the Peanut Butter and Jelly Martini with a peanut butter rimmed glass and Stoli Raspberry Vodka as well as the El Pepino Margarita with fresh cucumber, cilantro, agave nectar and Milagro 100% Blue Agave Tequila. Other cocktails include the Yale Blue Sapphire and The "Olde School" Sailor Jerry Rum with Foxon Park Cherry Soda - Delicious! A variety of bottled beer and a "Saloon" menu featuring BBQ St. Louis Ribs, Great Wings, Italian Style Nachos and more round out the comfortable, glass cornered barroom.

The Bistro is a 35 seat intimate dining space with linen, wine and Frank Sinatra in the background. Stained Glass and comfortable banquettes make for a pleasant setting. The evening Bistro menu includes a variety of classic "Corner" bistro appetizers including Escargot, Terrine of Duck, Thai Mussels and entrees including Steak Frites, Seafood Pescatore and Arugula Ravioli with Smoked Tomato Sauce and Ricotta Salata. Suggested wine selections by the glass include Arido Malbec, Mountpellier Pinot Noir,

Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon, Ruffino Lumina Pinot Grigio and Millbrandt Riesling among others. Breakfast and Lunch is served in both the Saloon and the Bistro and outdoor seating is available. Reservations are preferred ~ 203.772.0544.
