Art After Hours: First Wednesdays

Wednesday, Feb 6, 2013 5:00p to 9:00p

Explore recent history through the eyes of Soviet underground artists. The event spotlights “Leonid Sokov: Ironic Objects” with a curator-led exhibition tour and opportunity to meet the artist, a performance by comedian Ben Rosenfeld, and a screening of the documentary “From Gulag to Glasnost.” “Ironic Objects” is the first major U.S. solo exhibition for Sokov (born 1941), one of the leading figures in Soviet underground and Russian-American contemporary art. Complimentary light refreshments.
