Tom Colicchio, chef and owner of Craft restaurant, started 'wichcraft in 2003 out of the desire to blend fine dining know-how, distinctive ingredient combinations and a love of the perfect hand-held meal. He brought together classically trained food professionals, Sisha Ortuzar and Jeffrey Zurofsky, to create a sandwich and service like no other. We now bring you our delicious food with knowledgeable and friendly service at multiple locations in New York City and via delivery and catering.
We have hand picked all of our ingredients to ensure that we serve only the best. We slow roast Berkshire pork, we hand pull mozzarella, and we bake our pastries and spin our ice creams each morning. Whenever possible we work with small producers, use green market vegetables and antibiotic and hormone free meat. Our beverages come from companies that share our commitment to quality, including La Colombe coffee, Boylan bottling company sodas and teas from In Pursuit of Tea.
We bring you all these wonderful things at affordable prices in a casual setting. We are proud of what we serve and how we serve it. As we like to say, we bring you the Craft experience between two slices of bread.

I must say that these sandwiches are delicious! They are mighty tasty and VERY inventive; however, they are really small and cost around $10. I usually go here when I want to treat myself because even though other sandwich shops aren't as good, I can't afford to buy a $10 sandwich all the time.
A con is that the sandwiches appear to be pre-made and kept in a refrigerator and heated up on a grill as the order is taken. Fresh from the morning(?) but not freshly made in front of you.
