Haunted Mortuary

Big Easy’s most unique new paranormal attraction center, The Haunted Mortuary opens:

PHASE I - September 21 - November 4, 2007
PHASE II - Opens January 2008

Located at 4800 Canal Street near the end of the historic Canal Street Car Line, the Haunted Mortuary has been certified as "ACTIVELY HAUNTED" by the ISPR (International Society for Paranormal Research).

PHASE I PARANORMAL PROGRAMMING LINE-UP:

FREE-STYLE GHOST EXPEDITIONS allow participants to conduct their own ghost hunts or paranormal investigations through the 3-story haunted property, by the hour. Participants may use their own equipment or can rent or buy hand-held field equipment at the Mortuary. Free-Style Ghost Expeditions will be offered on select nights beginning at Midnight and continuing until 5:00 AM.

ORIGINAL GHOST EXPEDITIONS offering participation in the world’s original organized parapsychological field investigation combining both scientific methodologies and psychic exercises, will be conducted during Phase I by advance ticket only. Fall 2007 Original Ghost Expeditions are conducted under the direction of ISPR psychic, Cari Roy beginning each night at Midnight.

DAYTIME GUIDED HAUNTED MORTUARY TOURS will serve as fascinating trips through the history of the 3-story, 14,000 square foot property and it’s ever growing list of current paranormal activities and complete with spectacular photo opportunities of the City of the Dead that surrounds the property on two sides. Daytime Guided Mortuary Tours will be offered daily from 11:00 AM through 4:00 PM.

HI-TECH HALLOWEEN HAUNTED HOUSE ATTRACTION offers Halloween enthusiasts an adrenaline-pumping thrill from September 21 – October 31, from 6:00 PM – 11:30 PM, supporting the Blood Center of New Orleans.

BEWITCHING HOUR HAUNTED MORTUARY TOURS - A late-night guided tour through the three stories of actively haunted space. It's a tour you won't soon forget!

PHASE II of the 14,000 square foot Haunted Mortuary opens January 2008 when it becomes home to the first 24/7 INTERACTIVE PARANORMAL OBSERVATORY, LAB & MUSEUM, and will include in it’s 100% paranormal programming offerings:
