11th Annual Voodoo Experience

Sunday, Nov 1 (2009) 12:00p
at New Orleans City Park, New Orleans, LA
Age Suitability: None Specified

The 11th annual VOODOO EXPERIENCE will once again celebrate music, as well as New Orleans’ bohemian culture, arts and cuisine. More than 160 bands will perform in three distinct performance areas--Le Ritual, Le Flambeau and Le Carnival--and eight stages each highlight a unique side of the personality of New Orleans.

Halloween, New Orleans and Voodoo--what could make for a better weekend?

Throughout the years, the voodoo experience has brought together a collection of talent that has bridged the social, economic and generational gaps by creating a unique event with a commitment to every genre of music while at the same time celebrating the sounds of the region. Three distinct performance areas--Le Ritual, Le Flambeau and Le Carnival--and eight stages each highlight a unique side of the personality of New Orleans.

Set in historic City Park, amidst lush lagoons, bayous and one of the largest collections of mature oak trees in the world--all in the shadow of the New Orleans Museum of Art and just minutes from the French Quarter and Central Business District--this festive New Orleans celebration is steeped in the city’s culture and influences.

Beyond the fan friendly ticket price, festival producers will also absorb all ticket surcharges saving attendees approximately 15% on each purchase. This comprehensive ticket price applies not only on pre-sale tickets, but to ALL tickets sold for this year’s VOODOO EXPERIENCE.

“When people buy tickets, they see one price and end up paying a completely different one,” says VOODOO EXPERIENCE founder and producer Stephen Rehage. “We decided to absorb those fees ourselves so that fans pay exactly what’s advertised. We want the Voodoo audience to focus more on what they’ll see and hear over Halloween weekend.”

Current VOODOO EXPERIENCE partners include: Miller Lite, F.Y.E. (for your entertainment) music stores, Southern Comfort and the Marriott of New Orleans.

Jun 12, 2008 - mmelmon on Eminem
Really, he should get more stars

He did, after all, save hip-hop from itself. But he's also a bit of a twit.

Fun Live - Lots of Energy!

Saw these guys perform at HP Pavilion last night during a quick 20 minute set. It was clear that they really enjoyed jamming together, and the lead singer was doing handstands and flips off his keyboard. Must have a limber spine!

Couldn't really understand the words because the sound was a little off. I'd like to see them again at a smaller venue.

Nov 14, 2007 - Sylar on The Flaming Lips
These guys have an amazing stage show.

I saw them a couple days before New Years '07. It was wonderful, they had a new years countdown for us since we weren't gonna be at the new years show, lots of beautiful music, confetti - the works.

Also, the lighting system is a giant UFO, and the lead singer enters the stage in a giant balloon freedom ball thing! They win the universe.

Don't Miss This
