HEADLINER GLADYS KNIGHT JOINED BY BILL COSBY!
New Orleans, LA - Alumni, friends and supporters of Xavier University
are lining up to attend the November 21, 2008 "Legacy For a Legend"
gala concert honoring the 40th anniversary of America's longest
serving college president, Norman C. Francis of Xavier University, and
presented by Liberty Bank. The concert will feature legendary vocalist
and seven-time Grammy Award winner Ms. Gladys Knight, along with
world-renowned comedian, actor and philanthropist William "Bill" Cosby
as the evening's Master of Ceremonies and opening act. The Friday
evening Gala concert, planned to celebrate Francis' 40th Anniversary
as president of the nation's only Historically Black and Roman
Catholic institution of higher education, and to recognize his service
to his community and the nation, takes place at the New Orleans
Theater inside the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Hall H.
