Advance Directives: What are they, and why do I need one?

The Natick Visiting Nurse Association and New Century Homecare Services will host an educational seminar about advance directives on National Healthcare Decisions Day.

Elderlaw attorney Susan Shipley will address different types of advance directives an individual should prepare, i.e. health care proxy and HIPAA releases and a living will, a discretionary document. Pamela Fishman, LSW, CHP-SW, Natick VNA social worker, will provide tips for discussing advance directives with loved ones.
