Think Differently: A New Approach for Understanding and Helping Children with Behavioral Challenges

Challenging behavior, been thought of as willful & goal-oriented,has led to approaches that focus on using reward/punishment programs. Research shows that many of these kids' challenges result from a lack of crucial thinking skills in problem solving, frustration tolerance & flexibility. The Collaborative Problem Solving Approach focuses on teaching kids the skills they lack while resolving the chronic problems that precipitate challenging behavior.
