Four-time Grammy winner and one of the world's most revered guitarists, Carlton has performed on more than 100 Gold or Platinum albums; studio credits include Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones and Linda Ronstadt; Rolling Stone ranked his solo on Steely Dan's Asia album one of the top three guitar solos of all time. He's also performed with The Crusaders and jazz supergroup Foreplay, and received Guitar Player magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award. "Deep Into It" is Carlton's 2012 release.
