Improv Comedy Classes - Winter 2012

Improv Comedy Classes in Nashville Tennessee! Want to be a more confident public speaker? Be a more creative person? Be more fun at parties? Learn to do what we do? Meet some fun people? The Nashville Improv Company has 6-week improv comedy classes taught by professionas & designed to take your sense of humor to a new level, or help you discover a new, spontaneous side of yourself. These 2-hour classes will be something you'll look forward to each week.

Students also receive a student ID card that gives them half-price tickets to all regular shows during their session. Registration closes Monday November 5th.
Our Level 1 class 'So, you wanna learn improv!' will teach you the basics of improv comedy. A fun fast paced class that will leave you grinning from ear to ear. You'll learn how to take any suggestion given to you and turn it into full-length scenes, develop characters, pantomime, play games we perform on stage, and the meaning behind the two most important words in the improv vocabulary: YES AND.
Our Level 2 class 'Yes and! I wanna know more!' will build on the fundamentals already taught, offer more detailed instruction, start exploring scene work, and focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of each improviser while introducing students to even more games and scenework.
Level 3 class 'I'm getting this, lets work on characters!' will introduce students to the world of characters, how to discover them, utilize them in scenes & games and bring your improv game to the next level while learning even more games and styles.
It's always more fun with someone you know, so why not tell your entire family/office/block about improv classes and take them together. For each additional person you bring, we throw in a $25 discount. For the discount to apply, all persons must register for the same training session.
