The Frist Center invited the public to participate in a project photo-documenting the Nashville community. One thousand disposable cameras were distributed for people to capture particular aspects of their community they noticed, were moved by, or would like to see changed. A selection of those photographs is on display here. Cameras and Community in Action was organized in conjunction with the Ingram Gallery exhibition, Carrie Mae Weems: Three Decades of Photography and Video.
