May Day Morris Dancing and Community Breakfast
Dancing at dawn on May Day is an old agricultural custom in England. Morris dancers decked with bells, ribbons and clacking sticks are here to awaken the sleeping earth and celebrate the beginning of the planting season.
We begin our performance just as the sun rises over the ocean and dance for a half hour or so. Our audience joins us for a simple fun dance. We end with a wonderful community breakfast. We are all done by 7 am.
