The WSET Level 3 (Advanced) Certificate online course follows a 16-week study program with set start and finish dates as follows:

This course provides a more in-depth and comprehensive look at the world of wines and spirits with an intense focus on systematically and professionally tasting wines.
The WSET® Level 3 course covers the major grapes and wine styles produced around the world, including what influences the style and quality of these wines and the prices procured for them.
Level of Knowledge Needed to Take This Course: WSET® Level 2 certification is recommended. No prior knowledge is required.
This course is ideal for anyone wishing to hold knowledge of the main wine and spirits of the world, and to master a systematic approach to tasting that lets students access their quality and price.
Level III is particularly recommended to equip those employed around the world in the wine and/or spirits industry with the authority and confidence to make informed decisions in a wide variety of trade situations. For those in a supervisory capacity, or those wishing to advance to such a position, the course provides the skills to advise management or customers on wine and spirit selections.
This course is also for wine collectors or wine enthusiasts who wish to gain better knowledge of wine and spirits in order to recognize varied wines around the world and the ability to access their quality and the price being asked for such wines.
To successfully obtain the WSET® Level 3 Award Certification in Wine & Spirits, students must take a two-part exam: a written and tasting portion.

The required pre-requisite for WSET® Level III Diploma in Wine & Spirits
During the program the student arranges with us to attend a scheduled class in tasting technique.
Each 2-week online block consists of a series of activities, often based around group discussion, with an online tutor allocated to guide the students’ studies. A timed multiple-choice feedback test is provided at the end of each block for students to practice for the exam and assess their understanding of that week’s topics. Three short answer style feedback assignments are provided for submission at the ends of week 4, 8 and 12. Group tasting activities are also provided to familiarize students with the Systematic Approach to Tasting at the Advanced level.
When the course is over the student arranges with us to take the actual Level 3 Advanced 2 hour, 15 minute exam. The exam consists of tasting 2 wines blind, 50 multiple-choice questions and several short answer questions.
