Cabaret tells the story of Cliff Bradshaw, a teacher looking for work, who meets and falls in love with showgirl, Sally Bowles, at the Kit Kat Club. The couple eventually enters into a relationship in which some tough decisions have to be made. Each night at the club, the flamboyant Master of Ceremonies introduces vibrant and lively jazz numbers to audiences. Cabaret is written by Joe Masteroff with music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb. The story of Cabaret is based on a short novel entitled Goodbye to Berlin, written by Christopher Isherwood. Cabaret opened on Broadway in 1966 and has since won numerous Tony awards. Cabaret has received praise for decades for its unforgettable story, memorable songs, and fabulous choreography. The Center for the Arts production will be directed and musically directed by Denis Pessar. The show will be choreographed by Julie Wilcox and produced by Jason Hillard. Cabaret promises to be a show that you will not soon forget.
