I Walked With a Zombie

Canadian nurse Betsey Connell (Frances Dee) is hired to care for Jessica Holland (Christine Gordon), a woman living on a sugar plantation in the Caribbean who suffers from a bizarre zombie-like condition. Betsy is baffled by her mysterious affliction, but when she falls for Jessica's husband, Paul (Tom Conway), she determines to make him happy by curing her. However, in her quest, Betsey is drawn into the island's dark world of voodoo and begins to uncover the Holland family's sinister secrets.
